DePaul has more than 350 student organizations
, and new ones start up every quarter. The easiest way to peruse all the options is to attend the semi-annual Student Involvement Fair, sponsored by the Office of Student Involvement
. It takes place at the beginning of the academic year on both campuses and again at the start of winter quarter, and introduces students to student clubs, groups, organizations and on-campus activities.
Mentored Student Organizations
The Student Government Association (SGA) is the official representative body for students attending DePaul University. As such, SGA is committed to promoting and advocating the student voice and opinion. Our mission might be best summed up in the phrase, "We are interested students working for student interests!"
Interfraternity Council is the programming and governing body of the North American Interfraternity Conference fraternities at DePaul University. Delegated individuals from the fraternities' serve as the communication link between IFC and their chapters. This council meets weekly and is composed of a president and five executive officers.
Multicultural Greek Council is the programming and governing body that strives to unite and serve the cultural Greek letter organizations of DePaul University. The mission of the MGC is to promote awareness of the multicultural Greek letter organizations as well as provide opportunities for membership intake and membership recruitment. MGC takes pride in their diverse membership and focuses on helping Fraternity and Sorority leaders grow and serve the community.
Panhellenic Council is the programming and governing body representing the National Panhellenic Conference sororities at DePaul University. Throughout each year, the Panhellenic Council provides opportunities for interaction among all members to strengthen the ties of sisterhood by sponsoring many activities including new member recruitment, philanthropic and community service projects.
Student Activity Fee Board (SAF-B)
Student Activity Fee Board (SAF-B) is the student funding board that allocates the student activity fee fund, which is collected from all undergraduate full-time students. SAF-B is responsible for reviewing and awarding applications submitted by registered student organizations to support their goals and objectives.
The DePaul Activities Board, DAB, is the premier event-organizing body of DePaul University. Throughout the school year, members of DAB provide DePaul students with a wide variety of events, ranging from annual traditions, such as Homecoming and FEST (spring outdoor concert and festival), to speakers, music, movies, comedy shows, hypnotists, and much more.
Student Involvement Ambassadors
The Student Involvement Ambassadors are here to help foster organization development. They strive to help student leaders enhance their organizations through a wide variety of workshops, events, and one-on-one advice that will increase structure and promote growth.
