ELA Admitted Students: Next Steps Checklist

Pre-Arrival

Getting Started with BlueKey
Once you are admitted to DePaul, you will receive an email to set up an account with the DePaul BlueKey Portal. This is a single sign-on system that will allow you to seamlessly access both Blue Demon Domain and Campus Connect (the DePaul student portal). Refer to this email to complete your set up and access DePaul systems moving foward.
Blue Demon Domain: Blue Demon Domain has your personal checklist items to complete the next steps for enrollment, such as reserving your spot by submitting your $100 USD non-refundable tuition deposit, and submitting Campus Housing Agreement.
If you’ve not received your BlueKey information, contact the Information Services Help Desk at +1 (312) 362-8765 or tsc@depaul.edu and inform them that you are a newly-admitted ELA student.
Reserve Your Spot
Submit your $100 non-refundable tuition deposit through Blue Demon Domain.
For F1 Students: This is non-refundable regardless of reasons including visa denials.
Request I-20 (F1 Students Only)
Take Placement Exam
Students will take the pre-placement test online.
Housing Options
On-Campus Housing at DePaul
DePaul University offers housing options at both the Lincoln Park and Loop Campuses If you are planning to study at ELA for one academic year (fall, winter, and spring terms), on-campus housing is a good option. If you are interested in on-campus housing, apply for housing
Summer Housing at DePaul
If you are planning to study at ELA only for the summer term and interested in on-campus housing at DePaul, please refer to the Summer Housing page.
Off-Campus Housing
If you are planning to study at ELA in the fall or winter term only, you will need to find your accommodation off-campus. DePaul offers resources to assist with looking for roommates or housing. Visit the DePaul University Off-Campus Housing Website for additional information.
Provide Proof of Immunization
DePaul University complies with Illinois state law, which requires students to provide proof of immunization for Tetanus/Diphtheria, Measles, Mumps and Rubella. Learn more about the process, requirements and exemptions.
After Arrival
ISS Electronic Legal Document Check-in (F1 students only)
If you received a SEVIS I-20 from DePaul University, you must complete an online immigration document check-in with International Student and Scholar Services (ISS) and update your local U.S. address in Campus Connect within the first week of your arrival on campus.
A class registration hold has been placed on your student account and will not be released until ISS receives and reviews your immigration documents and verifies that your local address has been entered in Campus Connection. If your documents are not successfully submitted, you will receive an email from ISS with further instructions.
ELA Orientation
All new ELA students will participate in ELA orientation and placement exams. For more information, please contact ELA office at ela@depaul.edu.
