The Communication and Media program is designed for students interested in multiple fields of communication. You will learn fundamental communication and critical thinking skills needed to enter jobs across the public, private and non-profit sectors.
As a Communication and Media major, you will take courses from a variety of programs in the College of Communication and School of Digital Cinema, including Digital Cinema, Intercultural Communication, Journalism, Organizational Communication, Public Relations and Advertising, and Relational Communication. Depending on your interests, you may take courses in:
- Business and professional communication
- Digital cinema production
- Documentary studies
- Editing
- Media and cultural studies
- Media literacies
- Public speaking
- Television production
- Screenwriting
- Storytelling and style in cinema
We also offer combined Bachelor's/Master's degree programs, which allow you to complete a bachelor's degree and a graduate degree in five years. You may choose to combine your Bachelor's of Communication and Media degree with one of the following master's degree programs:
- Health Communication
- Journalism
- Media and Cinema Studies
- Organizational and Multicultural Communication
- Relational Communication
Online Degree Completion
The Communication and Media program offers an online degree completion option where you can take your third and fourth year courses entirely online.
