McGaw Hall is home to the Modern Languages and Writing, Rhetoric, and Discourse departments, the New Media Studies program, and the Center for Writing-Based Learning.
Language labs that allow students to listen to language tapes, have personal sets of language tapes made, view videos in foreign languages and use foreign language software are available. A computer lab and music practice rooms are also available in McGaw. The building connects directly to the School of Music building.
McGaw Hall was acquired by DePaul in 1977.
