Animation (BFA)

DePaul's Animation program is designed for students who are serious about careers as animation artists, character animators, game artists, computer-generated imagery (CGI) effects animators and motion graphics animators.

With the Cinema concentration you'll gain hands-on experience bringing digital characters to life. You'll also receive in-depth instruction in the most up-to-date software and technology available, including motion capture and green screen.

The Game Art concentration provides in-depth instruction in the latest advanced game modeling and animation technology and practices, including motion capture, rigging and digital sculpting.

The College of Computing and Digital Media has a strong relationship with many of Chicago's animation and production studios, allowing you to gain real-world experience through internships. Animation faculty members have worked in animation, production, film, art and interactive media, serving as resources and counselors as you enter the media industry.
