Determine which courses you should be taking
The Online Placement Process is used to provide course placement for entering freshmen and transfer students.
As a new student, you are required to complete the placement process for math and writing. You will assess your own skill level in writing. Based on your responses to the self-assessment, you will be guided to select the writing course that is most appropriate for you.
Language placement exams are optional. Placement tests here are offered in the following languages: Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Russian and Spanish.
If you are considering a major that requires General Chemistry (Biology, Chemistry, Health Sciences and Environmental Science), are interested in a health-related career, or are in the Post-baccalaureate or Pre-health Program, you should take the Chemistry Placement Test. You can’t enroll in General Chemistry without completing the placement test.
